About the show

Featuring many of Kathy’s songs and the story of her often turbulent life in a unique style.
Hear again “Secret Love” and many more of the Kirby classics, and see Kathy’s story told in a unique way.

After the publication of her biography two years ago was serialised exclusively by The Sunday Express it became obvious that there was a great appetite for the truth behind the Kirby legend.
How did the “golden girl of pop” become the Garboesque character of today? What happened to the millions in the bank? Why did she cut her career tragically short? What happened to her afterwards? Why are so many people just discovering her work over 25 years after she disappeared from public life?

The answers are all in the show where Kathy is portrayed by a rising star, Suzi Jari, who has already played a young Dusty Springfield on the London stage and who has a special feel for the divas of song. Already her act includes numbers by Dusty, Connie Francis and Brenda Lee and she has worked hard and long to capture the Kirby character and music. See more of her at www.suzijari.com

A major feature on the show by Sarah Freeman has appeared in the prestigious daily newspaper The Yorkshire Post on April 8th, 2008. Read article here.
